About Matthew Dentith

Author of "The Philosophy of Conspiracy Theories" (Palgrave Macmillan), Matthew Dentith wrote his PhD on epistemic issues surrounding belief in conspiracy theories. He is a frequent media commentator on the weird and the wonderful, both locally and internationally. On occasion he can be caught dreaming about wax lions but, mostly, it is rumoured he works for elements of the New World Order.

    1. It is certainly true that I owe a great debt to Charles, as do the other philosophers who followed in his wake; Brian L. Keeley, David Coady and Lee Basham (to name just a few). However, to say I get all my ideas from Charles is insulting to both he and I; I give him full credit for his work in my book “The Philosophy of Conspiracy Theories” and Charles (who was one of my PhD examiners and wrote the introduction to my book), I think it is safe to say, does not see me as a pale imitator of his work, but someone who is also working in the same field, and who has made novel contributions to the nascent Philosophy of Conspiracy Theories.
