Two major themes; Hume on Miracles, if applied to History, would render Napoleon improbable, but he did exist. Also, we are reliant on testimony for Napoleon’s exploits, and a lot of this testimony is unreliable, even from one source, but we seem to still accept that Napoleon existed and that we can describe facts about his life.
